Great questions Benjamin.

Yes, Satchel always ate raw meat. His breeder weened him on it. Maji however, never had raw meat until she was 13 months old when we adopted her. She had a little belly ache one day, but once I gave her some digestive enzymes (papaya) that went away.

We discovered the benefits of raw meat from Satchel's breeder.

Yup, from weening until their last meal, dogs and cats can eat a raw meat diet.

As long as you handle your pets raw meat as you would your own (don't leave it out to long, don't re-freeze, buy from a reputable source, etc) your dog and cat will be fine on the raw meat diet.

Thanks Benjamin, if you have further questions, give us a call at 503.245.2853

-Courtney

Courtney,

I have a few questions relating to your post.

Was raw meat always apart of Satchel's diet? As a small puppy?

How did you discover the benefits of a raw meat diet, through research or experience?

Can all dogs maintain a raw meat diet throughout their entire lives?

Also, many canine nutritionists and veterinarians now urge dog owners to be very careful about feeding raw meat to their dogs. Are any dangers present when commiting to a raw meat diet?

Thank you for your time -Benjamin
