Is it really necessary to sniff the meat before you clean it up? That IS gross.

One time my boyfriend left a tube of raw meat in the back of his jeep overnight. That wasn't so cool.

Moe- I have two gross raw meat stories. The first involves green tripe. There really isn't much to the story - it just freakin' smells like...hmmm...the intestines of a dead animal. What can I say?

The second one was when I put some poultry - chicken, I suppose, in the fridge to thaw. Like your human, I put it on the bottom shelf to thaw overnight. Everthing else I defrosted this way was fine. In this particular instance, I only put a paper towel under the chicken. The next morning there was chicken blood all over the bottom shelf. Luckily, I have glass shelves so the blood didn't go further. BUT it looked like a slaughter had taken place in the fridge...and it stunk. Ugh.
