Human Point of View:What About Parasites?
We’ve had a bunch of people ask if their dog or cat can get bugs from eating raw meat. An animal can get sick from eating just about anything, but it’s very rare for the pet to get sick because of raw meat in their diet.
As long as you buy your raw meat from a reputable source and you the pet owner handle the raw meat as you would meat you would set on your dinner table by keeping it frozen until you need it, letting it thaw in a cool and shady part of the house, put it in the fridge when it is still cool, don’t re-freeze after it is completely thawed, you shouldn’t run into any issues.
What experiences have you had with parasites in raw meat?

As a puppy, my little girl had a stool sample that came back positive for internal parasites. The vet blamed her raw meat diet.
I took her in to a holostic vet for a second opinion and was told that it had nothing to do with the diet and was in fact a common occurance in puppies and if told me to feed her papya.
Two weeks later the parasite was gone without a change in diet and we had a new vet.
