Veggies for Your Pet

Healthy Veggie Scraps

Healthy Veggie Scraps

My preference (this is Meat Woman typing) is to go to my local co-op (Alberta Street Co-op) and did through their compost bin for veggie scraps. I don’t take onions, cobs or grapes and I make sure to wash off the coffee grounds.

If I don’t need to make veggies right away, then I freeze them. Once the pups run out I break them out of the freezer, let them thaw, then toss them in the food processor.

Some people like to make their pet’s veggies fresh each day – good on ya for that. I prefer the easy method of making a bunch and freezing the left overs.

    Yes, this is helpful.
Veggies are important to the raw diet and though it always seems like a huge task, it never really truly takes all that long to complete. I wish I ate as well as my 4 labs!
